DISCOVER THE POWER AND SCIENCE OF POSITIVE THINKING

'Positive thinking' is a soft and fluffy term that is easy to dismiss. In today's world, it rarely carries the same meaning as 'persistence' or 'work ethic'. But those views maybe changing.
Positive thinking is about much more than just being happy or displaying an upbeat attitude. Positive thoughts can actually create real value in your life and help you build skills that last much longer than a smile.

Let's say you're walking through a forest, and suddenly, a tiger steps on the path ahead of you. When this happens, your brain registers a negative emotion - in this case, fear. Negative emotions program your brain to do a specific action. When that tiger crosses your path, for example, you run. The rest of the world doesn't matter. You are focused entirely on the tiger, the fear it creates, and how you can get away from it. Negative emotions narrow your mind and focus your thoughts. At the same time, you might have the option to climb a tree, or grab a stick - but your brain ignores all these options because they seem irrelevant when a tiger is standing in front of you. The problem is that your brain is programmed to respond to negative emotions by shutting off the outside world and limiting the options you see around you.

The benefits of positive emotions don't stop after a few minutes of good feelings subside. The biggest benefit that positive emotions provide is an enhanced ability to build skills and develop resources for later use in life. Take a scientific approach to positivism. Benefits of positive thinking:

1. Less cardiovascular risk.
2. Lower levels of stress hormone, cortisol.
3. Less inflammation.
4. Strong immune system.
5. Improved coping skills during hardships and setbacks.
  • Your positive thinking releases the potential of what is possible through you. Stay positive, think positive and speak positive.
  • Your positive thinking draws towards your positive responses. It sets in motion, the law of attraction. What you seek, you attract.
  • Your positive thinking keeps life in perspective. Don't make mountains out of molehills. Life is short, keep your perspective positive.

Your positive thinking can inspire the world around you, and turn a sour environment into a radiant, innovative and upbeat culture.
